Tom Joyner is Back in Atlanta

rfocus.org

The Morning Show returned today to the Atlanta market on the all new Classix 102.9 FM “Atlanta’s Classic RnB” station, joining the DL Hughley Show in the afternoons.  The New Classix 102.9 is an up-tempo fun format playing the biggest Classic RnB songs from the ‘70s and ‘80s with artists like Rick James, Prince, The Gap Band, Earth Wind and Fire, The Whispers and even some classic funk.

As part of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, longtime veteran Mitch Faulkner joins as the morning show local producer as well as hosting his highly rated Classic RnB Show Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to minight.  Mitch says, “I’m proud to join the team at Radio One Atlanta.   Classix 102.9 plays the music I grew up with and it’s refreshing to work with a company that “gets” and they do it right! Plus to work with a management team I have known and watched over the years, I feel this year will be the best of my career.”

“The response to the DL Hughley Show has been great over the past two weeks,” said Tim Davies Regional Vice President and General Manager. “With Tom Joyner in the mornings, Mitch Faulkner’s community connection and our fresh RnB, it is like a one–two-three punch for our listeners and . . . and a perfect complement to our amazing cluster.”
