The ‘Black Music Honors’ TV Awards Show Taped In Nashville

CENTRAL CITY PRODUCTIONS will tape the BLACK MUSIC HONORS in on AUGUST 18th at 7p (CT). The show will take place at the TENNESSEE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (TPAC). It will air in TV syndication during SEPTEMBER and on BOUNCE TV OCTOBER 10th at 7p (ET).

The two-hour event will be co-hosted by REACH MEDIA’s RICKEY SMILEY and GRAMMY AWARD winning LETOYA LUCKETT. This year’s and honors will include; THE JACKSONS — Lifetime Achievement in Music; DONNIE MCCLURKIN — Gospel Music Icon Award; SLICK RICK — The Hip-Hop/Rap Music Icon Award; GUY — R&B Soul Music Icon Award; OLETA ADAMS — Legends Award; JODY WATLEY — Crossover Music Icon Award.

Scheduled to perform: AVERY SUNSHINE, DAVE HOLLISTER, JONATHAN BUTLER, KAREN CLARK SHEARD, KID N PLAY, LATRICE CRAWFORD, LEELA JAMES, MARVIN WINANS, , DA BRAT, and SEVYN STREETER.

from the ticket sales will go to the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSIC, scheduled to open in NASHVILLE in 2019.
