Stations can Boost PPM Power With Arbitron’s New Urban Sales Clinics

WHAT: Arbitron Inc. (NYSE: ARB) is launching a new series of PPM-focused Urban Sales Clinics this fall, which will replace its daylong annual event. Arbitron invites market managers, station managers, sales managers and researchers from stations in current and future PPM markets to participate by registering for the free webcasts or by visiting Arbitron offices around the country for in-person training sessions.

WHEN: Session 1: Thursday, October 22, 2009 Session 2: Tuesday, November 3, 2009 Session 3: Tuesday, November 17, 2009 All sessions conducted from noon to 1 p.m. EST.

WHERE: Sessions are available via webcast. Clients can participate in these hour-long training sessions from their own computers. In addition, they can participate in-person at the Arbitron offices in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or Columbia, MD. –Session 1: October 22: How to Prepare for PPM Market Transition This session will provide insights on what stations need to do to transition from Diary to PPM measurement, and the steps sales managers can take to prepare their sales staffs for selling in the new environment.

–Session 2: November 3: How PPM Estimates Are Used by Buyers, Planners, Rep Firms and Advertisers This in-depth discussion will look at the role PPM estimates play in the buy-sell process.

–Session 3: November 17: Raising Your Digital IQ for Better Revenue Results The session will include ideas on how to make money with your radio station Web site.
