Royalty Exchange, the world’s only online auction marketplace for music and intellectual property royalties, announced today the auction of Zendaya’s “Replay,” as well as, the hire of former Hootie & The Blowfish manager, Rusty Harmon.

The new auction, starting at $37,600 and slated to end on May 1st, 2014, contains the certified platinum song “Replay” by Zendaya. With a current Billboard Hot 100 chart of #40, the video for the song has also reach almost 50 million views on Vevo.

Royalty Exchange also announced the hire of Rusty Harmon (former manager for Hootie & The Blowfish from 1989 to 2001) as VP of Music Sales in Nashville, TN. Harmon will join music industry veteran Preston Sullivan in further developing Royalty Exchange’s presence in the southeast.

Harmon’s successful career started with the development of Grammy award-winning group, Hootie & The Blowfish. With Harmon’s guidance, the band swiftly went to gold and then skyrocketed to platinum status with their release of Cracked Rear View. Between 1994-96, Hootie & The Blowfish’s album racked up a total of 12 million copies sold and the band would go on to sell 25 million records worldwide. Harmon was most recently President of Average Joes Management overseeing the careers of Colt Ford and others.

“We are thrilled to add Rusty Harmon to the growing Royalty Exchange team,” said Sean Peace, Royalty Exchange founder and CEO. “His industry experience and insight will be invaluable to our company, our clients, and our future growth.”
