Rob HarveyREPUBLIC RECORDS welcomes Rob Harvey as its Senior Director of Top 40 as announced today by Executive Vice President Charlie Walk. Harvey will handle the format for all stations west of the Mississippi.

After 13-and-a-half years in radio promotion at Interscope Geffen A&M Records, Harvey will be based in Los Angeles and liaise directly with stations on behalf of the label. With genuine enthusiasm and over a decade of experience, Harvey will continue to cultivate REPUBLIC‘S ubiquitous presence at the format and drive it as an influencer.

“Breaking new artists is REPUBLIC‘S legacy,” he comments. “And there’s nothing more exciting than taking a new artist to radio and watching that act connect. Monte and Avery Lipman, and the entire team, are smart, very smart. Everyone is focused on collective goals, and the company truly works as a team. All hands on deck, and goals are achieved strategically and creatively using modern, forward-thinking methodologies, as well as traditional ones. Simply stated, Republic is at the forefront of the industry, and of pop culture, and it’s an incredible place to be. I want to thank Monte, Avery, Charlie, David, Gary, Dennis and Toby for this opportunity as well as Brenda Romano and Chris Lopes at Interscope for their amazing guidance and support over the years.”

Charlie Walk adds, “I find Rob to be a very impressive music executive. We share a similar passion for music and introducing the world to new artists. He’s proven himself at radio again and again, and we’re confident in his ability to help elevate us to the next level at Top 40.”

After graduating from the College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, Harvey spent a year working for the Recording Industry Association of America in public relations, officially beginning his career in the music industry. In 1999, he started out as an assistant in the radio promotion department at Interscope Geffen A&M and worked his way up from there. In December 2012, he decided to leave the company to move to the West Coast. Harvey joined Republic Records in January 2013.

REPUBLIC RECORDS would now like to welcome Rob Harvey to the team.
