Prince fans have a lot to be excited about!

The estate of the late singer has announced that reissues of his music are coming soon, particularly some out-of-print material from the 1990s. For the first time in twenty years, fans will be able to buy Prince’s albums Chaos and Disorder and Emancipation on vinyl and CD.

The estate also plans to reissue The VERSACE Experience (PRELUDE 2 GOLD) for fans. It originally was released as a limited-edition cassette in July 1995. It was gifted to attendees of the Versace runway show during Paris Fashion Week that year. The rare cassette gave the attendees a preview of songs that would appear on The Gold Experience along with unreleased tracks from Prince’s backing band, New Power Generation, the NPG Orchestra and his jazz-fusion act Madhouse.

This isn’t the first posthumous release the singer has had through his estate. His latest release was Originals, which was released this past June. The album featured multiple demos he wrote for other artists, including Shelia E.’s “This Glamorous Life,” the Bangles’ “Manic Monday,” and Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U.” In 2018, the estate also released Piano & a Microphone, an extended demo album from 1999, and re-released several of Prince’s music videos from 1995–2010.

The legendary singer passed away at the age of 57 from an accidental fentanyl overdose at his Paisley Park home and recording studio in Chanhassen, Minnesota in April 2016. However, it’s clear that the estate won’t ever let his legacy fade away. Younger fans especially will enjoy these reissues, particularly with The VERSACE Experience which will have music that they probably haven’t heard before.

The new reissues drop on September 13. You can pre-order all three albums in various bundled forms on Prince’s website.

As fans wait eagerly, the estate also released a club mix of “P. Control’ from The Gold Experience (also featured on VERSACE). Take a listen to the track below!
