News Radio 1080 KRLD Wins National EDWARD R. MURROW Award

krldThe KRLD Afternoon News has been named the winner of the 2013 National Edward R. Murrow Award for “Best Newscast” for large market radio. The announcement was made today by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).

“This is an amazing honor and a milestone in KRLD’s 87-year history,” said Gavin Spittle, Dallas-Fort Worth Vice President of News, Talk and Sports Programming. “News Director Paul Mann and the entire staff genuinely deserve this recognition.”

“I couldn’t be prouder of the work the KRLD News Team produces every day,” Mann said, “and I’m thrilled to see that work acknowledged with such a prestigious award. It’s truly humbling.”

The National Edward R. Murrow Awards will be presented at a gala on Oct. 14 in New York City.
