Kudos to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings for canning the racist PR Head Jonathan Friedland for using the N-Word but it’s rather stunning that this is not the first time he did it? The streaming giant with a plethora of great black programming aired a ‘Strong Black Lead’ Spot during the BET Awards last night. Netflix states the commercial, that shows how diverse and supportive the network is, was actually scheduled at least two months ago.
Netflix debuted the brand-new spot featuring 47 of the platform’s black creators and talent, including Spike Lee, Ava DuVernay, Lena Waithe, Laverne Cox and more. Watch the great commercial below.% | %
