“Our iHeartMedia Chicago Urban brands are excited to team up for Sista Strut and support a cause that has affected everyone in some way,” said Derrick Brown, Director of Urban Programming for iHeartMedia Chicago. “Studies show breast cancer affects African American women disproportionally compared to other demographics, so it’s important that our stations raise awareness and encourage early detection in our community.”
The 107. 5 WGCI, V013 and Inspiration 1390 inaugural Sista Strut is modeled after the successful event from sister stations Majic 100.3, St. Louis’ R&B and Back in the Day Jamz, and Hallelujah 1600, St. Louis’ Gospel Hits radio station. Sista Strut is sponsored by Cracker Barrel.
107.5 WGCI, V103 and Inspiration 1390 are leading media outlets in the Chicago market and their content is available across multiple platforms, including its broadcast stations; online via its branded digital sites; mobile; and social, with nationwide listening through iHeartRadio, the all-in-one streaming music and live radio service – with its more than a billion downloads and 100 million registered users.
