First Latin Song To Achieve Diamond In 60 Years Of Gold & Platinum



“Despacito,” the smash hit by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, and its remix featuring , is officially certified Diamond by the (RIAA), representing 10 million or more sales and streams in the United States. “Despacito” joins an exclusive group of 18 songs to achieve coveted Diamond status, and is the first Latin song ever to reach that milestone.

Universal Music Latino/Republic Records artist Luis Fonsi was recently recognized for the historic achievement during GRAMMYs weekend.
