Carter Broadcast Group, Inc. Celebrates 69th Anniversary


Today, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 marks the 69th for , the nation’s oldest black-owned and operated . The family, Hot 103 Jamz (103.3 FM HD1/HD2) and Gospel 1590 KPRT (1590 AM /106.1 FM), sends a special thank you to all Kansas City area listeners for their support throughout the years.

Since 1950, Carter Broadcast Group has been a pillar in the community, garnering national recognition with 3 NAB Crystal Awards for Excellence in Community Service (1995, 2003, 2016), and a Marconi Award for Station of the Year (2004). KPRS Hot 103 Jamz and Gospel 1590 KPRT are proud to continue to build on the legacy started by Andrew “Skip” Carter, celebrating 69 years! Thank you Kansas City!
