There’s a silver lining in the cloud for actor Isaiah Washington who’s career took a nosedive after he was accused of calling out an alleged gay cast members on the hit TV show Grey’s Anatomy. After not being able to pay his $20,000 a month rent on a home in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles, he and his family have been evicted. The land lord cites Washington is behind by $100,000. He was seen taking his final things out as early as yesterday. To that end there is some good news for the actor. He has been tapped to star as Lou Rawls in a biopic which explores the “untold” story of the legendary singer’s life. Pathway Entertainment has acquired the script “Through the Eyes of a Son,” which was written by Lou Rawls Jr. along with Robert Egan and Dimi Sloane. The script reportedly gives a behind-the-scenes insight into the darker side of Rawls’s story. Although Rawls built up a legion of fans through his music, he also suffered a poverty-stricken childhood and experienced severe marital problems in later life.
