Attorneys Stephen Diaco, Robert Adams and Adam Filthaut who represented Bubba the Love Sponge during a slander trial are facing sanctions that could include disbarment. The trio is accused of setting up their opponent attorney Phil Campbell to be arrested for DUI in the midst of a civil trial with the enlisted help of a paralegal and a Tampa police officer. They have been found guilty of arranging the DUI arrest. Attorney Phil Campbell, who represented a competing radio DJ, Todd “MJ” Schnitt, was arrested per the setup in an effort to disrupt proceedings. Schnitt was in the process of suing Bubba the Love Sponge for slander.
