Tyler Perry is an excellent writer and Kathy Bates is one of the best actresses in Hollywood bar none but Tyler Perry should have stepped aside and not been in this movie. Just seeing him, even in the trailer, makes me less interested in seeing it. His character with the afro wig just doesn’t look believable. He’s a great director and producer but actor? It’s like when Spike Lee appeared in Malcolm with Denzel Washington, his presence destroyed the entire movie. Perry’s fans can survive without him him being in all his movies… this is a mistake and he should look at Spike Lee as an example
