Toni Braxton has had to cancel her Vegas shows scheduled to run through August because of the singer’s ongoing health issues. The R&B singer’s show had been dark since she was hospitalized on April 7 with symptoms of pericarditis, an inflammation of the heart lining. The six-time Grammy winner began her residency at the Las Vegas hotel in August 2006 and was scheduled to return on June 6. Because further tests are required to determine the state of Braxton’s health, the property was forced to end the show early.
