src=Rapper T.I. has already showed the world that a weapons charge and house arrest are no match for the Atlanta native’s incredible star power. Now the self-proclaimed “King of the South” has signed a multi-picture deal with mega movie house Screen Gems.

In the first of three high-profile films, the rapper will star opposite Matt Dillon and Idris Elba in the movie “Bone Deep” – a thriller about a group of bank robbers who pull off one last daring bank heist. The movie will be produced by T.I.’s Grand Hustle Entertainment, along with longtime partner Jason Geter, reports AllHipHop.

T.I. – born Clifford Harris – was just poised to make his mark as a movie star with a role in the Hollywood hit “American Gangster,” when he was arrested while trying to buy a slew of firearms last fall. He is currently performing 1,000 hours of community service as part of his sentence, as he prepares for a one-year prison term to begin next year.

Also known as Tip, the rapper is also shooting a reality show for MTV, which will air shortly after he begins his prison sentence in early 2009 [source]
