National radio personality/comedian/television host and author Steve Harvey turns 56 years old today. Most recently, the entrepreneur made headlines when Clear Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced an exclusive long-term agreement with the multimedia icon which renews and expands Harvey’s relationship with the leading media company in the United States.
In addition to his daily morning radio show, Harvey is currently hosting his third season of the long-running syndicated game show, “Family Feud”. In August 2012, Harvey announced his retirement from stand-up comedy after 27 years, stating, “I don’t want to be 60 years old standing on the stage telling some jokes. I want my life to mean something.”
Harvey’s first book “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man” was published by HarperCollins and is based on his popular “Strawberry Letter” radio segment; it became a #1 New York Times bestseller and led to the Screen Gems/Sony Pictures Entertainment film adaptation which topped the box office as the #1 movie in the United States for two weeks.
The Steve Harvey Morning Show was created in the year 2000, and is the #1 syndicated morning show in the top 25 metro markets with Persons 12+, Adults 25-54, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Women 25-54 (Source: Arbitron, FA’12, MSA, Exact Times, AQH T 25 Metros).
