nelsonmandThe highly anticipated memorial service for former South African President Nelson Mandela—taking place on Tuesday, December 10 in Johannesburg, South Africa—will be carried live and covered in-depth across multiple SiriusXM channels.

Mandela’s memorial will be carried live in its entirety beginning at 4:00 am ET on December 10 on SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S. channel 124—SiriusXM’s 24/7 non-partisan channel dedicated to the “Politics of the United States”—anchored by SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S.’ Tim Farley, host of Morning Briefing and Midday Briefing.

· SiriusXM Urban View/channel 110
SiriusXM’s Joe Madison will anchor live coverage of the service on December 10 from 4:00 – 8:00 am ET on a special edition of his daily morning show. SiriusXM Urban explores social and political issues from the African-American perspective.

· SiriusXM Progress/channel 127
SiriusXM Progress host Mark Thompson, host of Make it Plain, kicks off SiriusXM’s progressive talk channel’s live coverage of the memorial on December 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 am ET. Ari Rabin-Havt, host of SiriusXM Progress’ The Agenda, will pick up and continue the channel’s coverage beginning at 6:00 am ET.

Dozens of heads of state and world dignitaries including President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama; former U.S. presidents Bill Clinton, George W.
