The Celebrity Take Over - the name says it all! Each Friday, Doug Banks and DeDe McGuire hand over the keys to their nationally syndicated radio show to a special celebrity host. In May alone, The Ride with Doug and Dede has welcomed some of the most talented and controversial personalities around to host the weekly “Celebrity Take Over” with appearances by the King of R&B Bobby Brown and screen and recording beauty Jill Scott. Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens is sure to entice listeners as he discusses current issues and the team’s upcoming season.
During the Celebrity Take Over, the featured guest takes Doug and DeDe's spots, as the outspoken duo play sidekicks. To welcome the host, a customized opening is produced for each Celebrity Take Over and the feature is also promoted throughout the week. Additionally, each celebrity co-host is allowed to put their personal stamp on the show by taking calls, and even picking songs they want to play. With the always candid Terrell Owens the possibilities for great radio are endless. As Terrell always says, “Getcha Popcorn Ready!”

The Celebrity Take Over - the name says it all! Since launching the “The Celebrity Take Over” in early March, Doug Banks and DeDe McGuire, the hosts of the nationally syndicated ‘The Ride with DeDe’ have turned the airwaves over to some of the best and most controversial celebrities around. Each Friday, Doug and DeDe hand over the keys to their show to a special celebrity host. Guests have included Hollywood Actor Idris Elba, R&B singers Angie Stone and Erykah Badu and singing legend Chaka Khan. However, the next three weeks are sure to be the most controversial with appearances by the self professed King of R& B Bobby Brown, Singer/Actress/Lingerie Designer Jill Scott and the always outspoken Terrel Owens of the Dallas Cowboys.
