Todd McKenney, a breakfast radio presenter, former stage star and Dancing With The Stars judge, who is openly gay, was charged with possessing the illicit party drug GHB on Friday after being found unconscious in Rushcutters Bay Park. A WARNING that drink spiking was increasing among Sydney gays and lesbians was published in a gay community newspaper days before the entertainer protested that a drug charge against him stemmed from his being unwittingly doped.
He was revived by paramedics and later said his drink had been spiked at a Potts Point party, and a vial of GHB, which was found by police, had been planted in his pocket. (Editor's Note: OK his drink was spiked, but what was he doing in the park?)
