Remy’s Defense Team’s Setback

As the attorney for rapper Remy Ma’s argued in Remy’s defense in the shooting of Markeda Banes-Joseph as an accident during a struggle with the gun Ma was carrying, an eyewitness states that’s not what he witnessed. Oluwole Ajudun 21 testified that on the day of the shooting, after a party in Greenwich Village that “I saw her cock it back (the gun) and jump in Makeda’s car,” he said. Makeda Barnes-Joseph was shot last July outside in New York City after attending a party that Rem had also attended. The incident was allegedly sparked when Remy discovered $2,000 missing from her purse and accused the victim of stealing the money. Another witness, Crystal Ricks, testified that she saw Remy get in the car, she heard a pop and she saw Remy get out of the car, but Ricks never saw a gun. Remy is currently free on $250,000 bail.
