TV One’s Wonya Lucas Exits and is Replaced by Radio One CEO Alfred Liggins who also Replaced Barry Mayo. What is going on at Radio One?
Well at least everyone including upper management at Radio One can hold down several gigs. Try to keep up here… Wonya Lucas is out as CEO of TV One after only a little more than a year after being assigned the position. She replaced CEO Johnathan Rodgers who retired from TV One before her. Her recent exit and open position has now been self assigned to Radio One CEO Alfred Liggins who also replaced industry vet Barry Mayo who exited Radio One as President of the Radio Division this past March. There is no word as to whether Liggins is the interim in Mayo or Lucas’ previous positions. Liggins states: “Wonya has created a strong foundation for TV One’s future success with the launch of two new hit series, R&B Divas and The Rickey Smiley Show,“ (..but both of these shows JUST STARTED… why is she leaving NOW?
