WHO: Power 99 fm’s Hot Boyz, Black Youth Vote and Hip Hop Super Star TI come to Roxborough High School for Get Out the Vote Rally.

WHAT: Prior to his Power 99 fm Powerhouse 2008 appearance at the Wachovia Center – Power 99 fm and Black Youth Voter Coalition Bring hip-hop star and rapper TI and his “Respect My Vote” Campaign to Roxborough High School which urges the younger generation to vote.

Background: Power 99 fm, Black Youth Voter Coalition and TI believe this election is one of the most significant in the history of this country. TI is a spokesperson for the “Respect my Vote Campaign” which urges the younger generation to vote. TI is a world renowned rapper who has just finished working with Mariah Carey. His debut song was I’m Serious and today he is the co-CEO of the Grand Hustle team. He has become a part of “Respect My Vote” rally which aims at motivating youth to participate. The campaign is a part of the Hip Hop Caucus organization which creates space for the younger generation to speak up. For more info go to http://www.hiphopcaucus.org/. Later in the evening TI will be join Jay-Z, Keyshia Cole, T-Pain, Neyo and surprise guests for Power 99 fm’s sold out Powerhouse 2008 Concert at the Wachovia Center. Black Youth Vote Coalition is a program of The National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, a non-partisan, 501(c)3 organization and will also be on site at the high school and the concert to provide voter information.
