Kimberly “Lil’ Kim” Jones was awarded a half million dollars by a judge yesterday after winning a lawsuit against former friend, Junior M.A.F.I.A. rapper James “Lil’ Cease” Lloyd and his company, Ground Zero Entertainment. The company puts out street DVDs and the suit was for wrongly capitalizing on her fame with a film about the click. Kim also shut down production of another DVD, The Chronicles of Junior M.A.F.I.A Part II: Reloaded, with a court order.
Lil’ Kim had originally sought $6 million in damages from Cease, who testified against her in a criminal trial in which she was convicted for perjury. Kim (born Kimberly Jones) was sentenced to one year and a day in prison for lying to a federal grand jury about a 2001 shootout that took place outside of New York’s Hot 97 radio station.
