I got a copy of the book, and skimmed through it. I have always been honest about how I feel about sh… and this book bored the sh… out of me… It’s too hard to guess who’s who and to try to figure out the puzzles former MTV exec Terrance Dean creates throughout his first novel. I know there are MANY gay, bi and lesbian people in the black industry, creatively and in radio and in management so I knew a lot of the people he was talking about but he throws in an extra wrench to confuse readers when they are on the right path (like I just did)(laugh). Dean also paints himself as the sexual desire of these hard undercover DL hip hop men and I don’t believe that. If you have ever hung around with a celebrity male or female they turn DOWN outrageously great looking people and Terrance is not the type they pursue. If they did pursue him, it was because he was working at MTV. Anyway, the book is more biographical than anything else and readers are not checking for Terrance, they want the dirt on their favorite rappers. Sh…, just say it. Karrine did and it’s not like he has a lot to lose (except his life) at this point. Oh, I guess it does make sense now (laugh).
