MARK FLAHERTY NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING, RCA MUSIC GROUP










Mark Flaherty has been named Senior Vice President, Marketing, RCA Music Group, it was announced today. He most recently held the position of Vice President, Marketing for the label group. Flaherty will report to Tom Corson, Executive Vice President & General Manager, RCA Music Group and will be based in the company’s New York City headquarters. In his new capacity, Flaherty will develop, manage, and execute major marketing campaigns for some of RCA Music Group’s superstar acts including Dave Matthews Band , Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder, Santana, Gavin Degraw, and developing acts such as Say Anything, Krista, and Paul Freeman.

Previous to his RMG experience, Flaherty was a marketing consultant with clients included Universal Records, Mars Volta, Scissor Sisters, Don Omar, and Baby Bash, acting as primary liaison between management and senior label executives. In addition, Flaherty previously held the positions of Vice President Sales/Marketing at Volcano Recordings, working with major artists such as Tool, and Senior Director, Marketing for the Zomba Label Group, where he developed national marketing campaigns for a wide variety of acts such as Tool, 311, and Weird Al Yankovic.

Prior to his career in marketing, Flaherty was a successful singer/songwriter whose compositions have been heard on The Today Show, Dawson’s Creek, Grosse Point, and The American Embassy. He has worked with Grammy-nominated producer Luke Ebbin (Bon Jovi), David Bryson (Counting Crows), and is an ASCAP Songwriters Workshop & JLSC winner.
