Hip Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was pulled over this weekend by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department while cruising the Sunset Strip. According to reports, the Bad Boy chief was being escorted by his entourage when one of the four vehicles was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy. The routine traffic stop happened around 3 a.m. Saturday when authorities noticed the car driven by a member of Combs’ staff didn’t have proper tags. The other three vehicles proceeded to stop, prompting the cop to call for backup, which is normal procedure for the Sheriff’s Department when cars linger. Once backup arrived, one member of the group became “extremely uncooperative” to the point he had to be detained, according to reports. At that time, Diddy and the remaining five or six members of the entourage got out of their cars and began walking toward the scene. That’s when one deputy drew his weapon. “A deputy pulled his firearm, fearing for his safety,” said a sheriff’s department spokesman. “The situation was deflated as quickly as it began.” Combs spokeswoman Keesha Johnson said the cop did not pull the gun directly on the rapper, and stressed that the officers were “really respectful,” according to the NY Daily News.
