This week I got a GREAT laugh out of a PD posting on a social network that when he was a little boy, he used to smell the chair when women got up. In the same thread a woman admitted her female dog likes to smell her panties. The whole debate started when an industry executive expressed surprise over Michael Baiden asking a caller if he smelled his wife’s/girlfriends’s panties (on the air).
Is it anywhere near true that Steve Harvey actually calls urban PDs where his show is behind and advises them on how to program?
Carter and Sanborn fans have started a FaceBook page to bring the duo back (and out Baisden) at WDAS…. outside of this effort, I am indeed hearing Baisden’s days are numbered at the station (the execs are now sh…ting on themselves at Citadel).
Several urban programmers have expressed “surprise” to me that a well-respected former Programmer is now promoting records (is that a step down?) Truth be told, there are a LOT of industry people reinventing themselves… bills have to be paid.
