This past summer, a magazine that I tried to produce for the second time, failed. I had a sense of entitlement, it was about black people but I needed white corporations to support it and I came in with an attitude, like I deserved it. Truth is, I didn’t. Obama has the perfect temperament, he surrounded himself with the best, positive, team, he never got angry, he faced outrageous odds by having to defend what OTHER people, meaning, NEGATIVE black and white people, said during HIS campaign, he went on a steep uphill journey where there were so many darts thrown at him and so many attacks yet he maintained his cool and remained focused on his goal where many others would have given up. MANY and I mean MANY black people thought it was impossible for a black man to be president and many didn’t bother to even register to vote because of it. Yes, the odds were against him but through it all, Obama never had a sense of entitlement… but HE earned it. The job of cleaning up the outrageous mess that George Bush has done to this country is not going to be easy but at least America now realizes, the BEST man/woman deserves the job and second best just won’t due…. anymore!!! Yes, I can finally say it and MEAN it… God Bless America.. K

I agree whole heartedly. I am in awe, speechless and humbled by yesterdays’ victory. As a black american, I am over joyed and anticipate being involved in the hstory of the next 4 years of Obama’s Presidency – however it will take quite some time for such positive changes to truly sink into the psyche.
