An Atlanta talk show host has been fired after making negative remarks about a respected Georgia elected official, a source told Redding News Review.
Shelley Wynter, a self described “black conservative”, was fired from WAOK-AM last week due to his repeated negative comments about Rep. David Scott, a Democrat, the source told Redding News Review.
Wynter – who has accepted “consulting” payments from Scott’s challenger, according to an Federal Election Commission filing – joined the CBS Radio-owned station after spending more than 20 years working in advertising sales – a background which he shares with Scott.
