Digital Lifestyle expert Mario Armstrong is bringing his unique brand of translating technology for non-tech audiences to American Urban Radio Networks beginning Tuesday February 8, 2011. “Digital Lifestyle,” a daily short-form feature, will teach people how to better themselves by leveraging technology to enhance both their personal and professional lives.
“I am excited to have this opportunity to share tips, advice and information that will empower African American consumers. Technology is a part of our everyday culture and it is important that we not only consume but also create in this digital revolution,” said Armstrong, who appears regularly on TV with his weekly segments on CNN and monthly reports on the Today Show. Armstrong says, “African-Americans have been embracing technology and I look forward to educating them on how technology impacts the way we work, live, and play.”
AURN is the largest radio provider of urban programming in the county. “We’re obviously pleased to have Mr. Armstrong in our camp,” said Jerry Lopes, President of Program Operations and Affiliations for American Urban Radio Networks. Lopes said, “In this new digital world he can help our listeners make sense of things with his plain talk, no nonsense approach to the complexities of today’s technology. “Digital Lifestyle” with Mario Armstrong will be provided via satellite and via the web to AURN’s more than 300 affiliated stations.
