COCA-COLA CELEBRATES ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE APOLLO AS A KICK-OFF TO BLACK MUSIC MONTH

On June 5th, music fans were treated to a special insider’s concert at the world-famous Apollo Theater. Coca-Cola Celebrates Essence Music Festival @ The Apollo served as a precursor of what is to come at this year’s Essence Music Festival. Headline performers included Grammy nominated neo-soul singer Anthony Hamilton and urban jazz/funk artist and former Cosby kid, Malcolm Jamal Warner, who both performed in honor of Black Music Month. Also, in celebration of Black Music Month, Lisa Ellis, executive vice president of Sony Music Label Group received the 2008 Trailblazer Award for her positive impact on Black Music.
