Cash Money Content/Atria Books author Wahida Clark’s latest novel Justify My Thug, the 5th novel from her dramatic and erotic series, made its debut on the New York Times Trade Fiction Paperback Best Seller List at #19 this week! This is the author’s 2nd appearance on the list. Clark has written 10 novels to date, including the 5 installments of her “Thug Series.”

Clark joined forces with Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams of the iconic chart-topping rap label, Cash Money Records for the release of “Justify” through their newly formed Cash Money Content book imprint, distributed by Atria Books/Simon & Schuster. A savvy business woman, Clark saw the venture as a way to gain greater visibility in the hip hop marketplace. That thinking has more than paid off.

When asked about the title, “Justify My Thug,” Clark explains, “My characters deal with real life situations and must justify their actions. All of their actions have consequences; some good, some bad. They must justify their “˜hustle,’ or justify their “˜thug.'”
Based on her life growing up on the streets of Trenton , NJ , Wahida Clark began writing the bestselling series of novels while serving a 10 ½ year prison sentence for money laundering and mail fraud.
