Arbitron Announces the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson for the 2011 Arbitron Radio Advisory Council
COLUMBIA, MD; December 16, 2010 – Arbitron Inc. (NYSE: ARB) today announced the Chairperson and Vice Chairperson for its 2011 Arbitron Radio Advisory Council.
Tom Skinner, Vice President and General Manager, KZST-FM, a Redwood Empire Stereocasters station, has been elected the new Chairperson for the coming year. Mr. Skinner was the Vice Chair for the 2010 Arbitron Radio Advisory Council and previously served as Chairman in 2003. Don Benson, President and CEO of Lincoln Financial Media Company, now becomes the Vice Chair for the coming year’s Radio Advisory Council. Doug Abernethy, Regional Vice President, Radio One and the 2010 Council Chair, will stay on as the Past Chairperson.

About the Arbitron Radio Advisory Council
The Arbitron Radio Advisory Council was founded 30+ years ago to provide valuable client feedback and advice to Arbitron. Over the years, the Council has served as the voice of Arbitron’s radio industry clients, advising Arbitron on issues important to radio and helping to improve Arbitron’s services and policies. Over the years, the Council has encouraged Arbitron to introduce several important service and quality improvements including increases in Diary and PPM sample sizes, implementation of cell phone sampling and the introduction of sample quality benchmarks.
