Arbitron and Bellevue Radio Sign Multi-Year Agreement for Portable People MeterTM Radio Rating Services in Seattle









Arbitron reaffirms decision process for the restart of PPM commercialization

Arbitron Inc. (NYSE: ARB) today announced that Bellevue Radio Inc. has signed a multi-year contract for Portable People MeterTM radio ratings services for KIXI-AM, KQMV-FM, KKNW-AM, KWJZ-FM and KRWM-FM in Seattle, Washington. This agreement will take effect as and when Arbitron commercializes the new audience ratings technology in Seattle.

Over the next three years, Arbitron is scheduled to deploy the Portable People Meter in the top 50 markets in place of the paper diary method that the company has used to collect radio audience estimates since 1965.

Arbitron Reaffirms Decision Process for the Restart of PPM Commercialization
As previously disclosed, Arbitron currently intends to make a decision in June regarding any change to its previously announced PPM commercialization schedule. As of this date, no decision has been made regarding the commercialization of any market.
