Rapper and businessman 50 Cent is not allowed to sell the Long Island property where a 2.4 million dollar house was destroyed by fire last month, according to the Press Association. State Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead also ordered him to put insurance proceeds in a trust account pending the outcome of his dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins.
Tompkins claims the 50 promised her a house a decade ago. Apparently, however, the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ star had a change of heart. He recently tried to evict Shaniqua and their 10-year-old son Marquise from the house in Dix Hills, Long Island . A suspicious fire destroyed the house on May 30, and Tompkins has publicly suggested that 50 – real name Curtis Jackson – had something to do with the blaze. She, her son, and 4 other people were treated for smoke inhalation after escaping the burning house. The rapper’s ex reportedly lived in the home with her new boyfriend, who was recently involved in a physical altercation with 50 at a legal deposition. [source]
