I actually saw that movie “12 Years A Slave” and although it was hard to watch I must say it was a good film and the acting was phenomenal. Steve McQueen’s portrayal of lthe 1853 memoir by Solomon Northup, a free man who was kidnapped into slavery in 1841, was the most-nominated drama of the night with seven total nominations. Damn the nominations because at the end of the day it’s all about the awards and the accolades. “12 Years A Slave” was named Best Picture – Drama at the 71st annual Golden Globes awards being the only win for the film on this special evening in Hollywood.
